I've been doodling a lot lately, on various items (desk, stickies, scraps, cardboard, adding machine tape, myself) and I'm excited and semi-concerned with where things are going. I'm excited because I feel like a well of creativity is opening and that's always thrilling, however I'm concerned because the subject matter has been relatively dark and I thought I was past all that. I'm not depressed (that I know of) but work has stressed me out recently so I hope that's all it is. I won't be posting any of the things I've drawn as I'm really not proud of them and they're not at all where I need to be, but I was wondering if this is a common occurrence amongst creative people? I know I turned to writing when I was really depressed several years back, and some of the shit that came out of me was pure morbidness (think Clive Barker crossed with Lovecraft crossed with snuff films) which will never see the light of day, but now that it's creeping into my art I'm really freaking out.
I don't want to go to that place again. I didn't care for who I was, nor did anyone else around me, and too many things are going right in my life at this point for me to slip back into the dark miasma. Hopefully I can turn on the light soon and get back to drawing things I love and can be proud of.

Ink runs in my veins.
I'm not sure if there is going to be a Mini-Meg. Last I heard they weren't going to do it because it was too much to do in addition to Megacon. BUT I'm definitely aiming to be at FX!
Thanks again so much, have a great week!
